Arrival in a new country - Dehli, IndiaI arrive at the busy terminal of Indira Gandhi airport ,Dehli, India. Walking through the the main baggage collection area now, smells, sounds, voices.... what the hell is this place. Bags collected and i,ve just open the exit door to the airport .. then it hits you!! Arriving from a place like London, where everyone trys to keep up the old tradition of 'excuse me please' and avoiding eye contact at all time. A place like Dehli, where the hustle and bustle of people could almost seem like mass histeria, people stare at you for long periods of time out of interest, richshaw drivers fight over who will be the one to take you to the nearest guest house. Beggers bent double approach you from every street corner, whist the friendly man in the market store opposite has you locked in target "you come buy my shop, you come buy from me my friend" You see a kind of system through all the insanity going on around you. Look around at the people a bit more, look at the beauty of the place, smell the different food smells in the night air, the sound of music in the distance... then something else hits you...excitment, a feeling that all travellers get at the beginning of a new journey, who will i meet, what will i do, where will i go...
