Madrid Weekend Break For Solos

For those compulsive women shoe shoppaholics walk down Augusto Figueroa, in the heart of Chueca, it holds numbers of large producers of footwear from all over Spain.

Alternartively for the male shopper visit the Real Madrid's Santiago Bernabeu Tour viewing the panoramic sight of the Stadium. This hosts one of the biggest football team on the planet.

The Plaza Mayor is a grand square very popular for tourists, a prominant location full of atmosphere and watch the characters of spain go by, one of the finest plazas in Spain.

 

Eating and Drinking

One of the charms of Madrid is its abundance of bars, taverns, restaurants adn terraces. The oldest gastronomic tradition of food as well as the rest of Spain is Tapas.

Madrid attracts the best food from around the country so produces some of the finest fresh fruit, vegetables, meats, fish and shellfish. The food is of the best quality in Spain.

The Corral de la MorerĂ­a , the oldest flamenco restaurants in Madrid, hiring some of the best chefs and artists to perform in the restaurant.

Botin Restaurant going by the Guiness Book of Records is the oldest resturants in the world going back to 1725, traditional Mediterranean.

La Trainera is a traditional restaurant offering Seafood cuisine, where some of Madrids finest fish is served.

For your traditional but most famously served Paellain Madrid try Restaurante La Barraca Restaurant, several different types to be found here!

Taberna de Cien Vinos is an unpretenious wine bar, somewhere to sit and take in the day of the city with a glass or bottle of wine. With great decor and friendly service it has become Madrids best known bars.

Segovia , a picturesque town approx. 50 miles away from Madrid, allows visitors a glance into the greatness of the Spanish Empire and even beyond. Built by the Romans, is almost 2000 years old and provides a prime example of the extraordinary architectural feats in ancient times.
